A huge Grazie, to everyone who came to the first of The Royal Oak theme nights last Friday. The place was packed out, the food was superb and great fun was had by all!

starters

Zuppa del giorno. Minestrone. A thick soup containing assorted vegetables, beans, pasta & herbs in a vegetable broth with parmesan croutons
Bruschetta con Pomodoro. Classic tomato, garlic & basil on toasted tuscan bread
Insalata Caprese. Freshly sliced buffalo mozzarella, baby romano vine tomatoes, torn fresh basil with extra virgin olive oil
Calamari Fritti. Lightly battered rings of squid, slow roast garlic mayonnaise & lemon

Agnello Alla Cacciatora. Tenderley braised Lamb shank in tomatoes & mushrooms, scented with rosemary & olives
Pollo Fungi. Golden Roasted chicken with moist breast meat & soft dumplings with a rich sauce & earthy mushrooms
Lasagne al forno. Rich, seasoned and herb intense baked pasta, creamy white sauce with soft pasta sheets & a meaty tomato ragu sauce
Anatra arrosto. Crisp skinned, moist duck, tender duck legs with aromatic sweet sauce and lightly caramelised apple wedges
Liguine Marinara. Sautéed king prawns, squid and mussels seasoned with chilli, parsley & lemon. Lightly bound pasta strips with extra virgin olive oil
(v)Spagetti alla Norma. Spicy piquant aubergine fingers cooked in tomato sauce flavoured with oregano & basil, finished with grated ricotta salata

Dolci
desserts

Tiramisu. Sponge fingers, mascarpone, marsalla & coffee liqueur
Panna Cotta Vanilla Scented honey cream, homemade fruit compote
Semifredo. Iced caramel & hazelnut parfait with chocolate sauce
Gelati. Ice cream with homemade biscotti
